I've personally done the heat gun  method on several boards that were about 24 inches by 11 inches.  It worked really well in removing only the varnish.  The key is to stay focused and not burn the teak and holly.  I would not hesitate to do it again that way. Thanks, Danny Original mes

The yellow is moisture under the finish.  You need to strip the finish, carefully and refinish. I have an article somewhere that explains a technique using a heat gun and a 2 inch scraper. If you're interested I'll try and dig that up.   It's not really difficult but it is a time consuming

is your water system pressurized?  if so you'd need a vacuum breaker and some kind of valve for filling, I've the fresh head on my boat it has a vacuum breaker and you open a normally closed valve to add water and then pump the evacuate.  So I guess the difference id the pump does not bring wat
