Stus-List Sealant of choice for cockpit drains

I am about to replace my cockpit drains with new ones from Forespar. Butyl tape is my usual go to for everything on deck, but I wanted to have the list opinion for cockpit drains that are often below water when heeled. My gut tells me to stick with the butyl tape. Thank you! Bruno Lachance
