I'd take a closer look at what's coming out of the rudder in pic #9. I'm no
expert. Looks like rust. I'm curious what others think.
Also, the listing states/implies that the hull is cored. "Regular" 33-1's
have solid hulls, which might be preferable for a boat of this vintage.

Re-bed the frames into the cabin top with butyl tape. You can get a big
roll for $10 at a Recreational Vehicle (RV) store. Refrigerate before using
and will be easier (less sticky) to work with.

If you want to remove the frames without bending them (much), use a
machete. After removing the screws, tap the machete down along the top edge
between the frame and the cabin top and then gently pry. I wish I had used
that method on all four frames.

Seems to work on barnacles, slime and mussels.
No PHRF hit, either.
I wonder if some sort of bubbler setup would discourage marine growth.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking, more generally, of using CNC for
any sort of hard-to-source part for the aging C&C fleet - and sharing the
data-sets (e.g. autocad files). The main expense at this time is the
scanner. Manufacturing can go to the lowest bidder. Maybe some shops do

Thanks John. I will take another look today.

Weldwood makes some non-flammable contact cement that would probably work
OK.

Danny,
The good ol' Atomic 4. Under sail, with a big enough prop, you don't even
need a battery to start it. Just turn on the ignition and pop the clutch.
Doesn't work at the dock, though. What's the emoticon for exaggeration?
For the windlass, how about going manual? That would be a lot simpler.

Right on, Chuck.
The "gentleman sailing" in our C&Cs certainly has its advantages. I've
done lots of body and windsurfing and still enjoy the visceral joys of
being very close to the wind and water - unless I'm on a lee shore.
