Eric, We did this job last Spring. The old windows were cracked, had gaps and leaked a lot whenever it rained. The old ones came up pretty easily with a blade and we did not damage to the gel coat. The biggest hassle was getting the surface ready for the new windows, including

Eric, after having done this job a couple of times, a multitool with a flat saw blade makes short work of the removal. Place the blade between the window and fiberglass and cut away. Removes very little gel coat if you're carefull. ___

Curtis, I used a class-room based approach to getting my CG license and would highly recommend that method. Technically you don’t really need to take any lessons or classes. Simply show up and take the test with the Coast Guard. Given how tough it was to pass the test after extensive class-room
