hi Jeff,
can you show us your fileset definition?
from the backups we are running here, the only problem i have with Vista is
volume shadow copy not working with bacula client version 2.0.3.
i haven't upraded to the latest client yet.

I am hoping someone can help.
Is the Win32 bacula version 2.2.1 capable of backing up a Vista PC? I have a
LAN, with the server being a Linux Debian Etch version 2.0.3.
This is where the director and storage daemons are running for the network.
Aside from that PC and the one in question, the othe

I've been having really slow backups (13 hours) when I backup a large
mail spool. I've attached a run report. There are about 1.4M files
with a compressed size of 4G. I get much better throughput (e.g.,
2,000KB/s vs 86KB/s for this job!) with other jobs.
First, does it sound as if something is

Im runing Bacula under Debian and MySQL 5.0.x. and it worked just fine.
Until I used "dselect" to uppgrade Bacula from 2.0.X to 2.2.0 and I got this
problmen.
First I run Bacula as user 'bacula' and got this errorr:
"nas:/etc/init.d# /usr/sbin/bacula-dir -v -d99 -f -g bacula -u bacula

Kern,
I think I have found the cause of the MTEOM errors that I have been
experiencing from time to time. These MTEOM errors are not caused by Bacula.
In the past few months, I have rebooted my Quantum PX502 library a few
times (once every two months or so) while a tape was mounted in the
drive
I think I understand the data encryption (not TLS) concepts of Bacula:
the file daemons do all the encryption/decryption. This is great where
clients (fd) and servers (dir/sd) may not have the same level of mutual
trust.
In my office, I administer all the clients, so I can install all the

Hi,
my bacula system started about a week ago to produce error during one of it's
jobs (around 40 total).
The backup ends with error, the payload of the error message is:
Default_Debian_set_and_dbdump_postfixadminu.2007-09-26_01.05.30 Fatal error:
Authorization key rejected by Storage daemon.

Hello,
I put a small snippet of perl code onto the wiki to recreate bsr files
after migration jobs. As I didn't know where to link it, I didn't create
a link on some of the pages which you can reach from the
http://wiki.bacula.org/doku.php, you can find the script under

I've setup a bacula to keep backups of a printing system. I'd also like to
offer a web interface to the rest of the office so that when i'm not around
someone without IT skills can just use their web browser to tell bacula to
restore some file.
Is there such a web interface?
Thank you.

Hi,
I'd like to add the jobid to restore in the bacula-dir.conf. Is this possible ?
Job {
Name = "Restore"
Type = Restore
Client = castor-fd
FileSet = "Data"
Schedule = "RestoreCycle"
RunBeforeJob = "/etc/bacula/scripts/getJobId"
JobId="cat /root/bacula.JobId"
Storage = Exabyte

Hi to all:
Some days before I send a mail to the list asking about advices on
problems with postgres database encoding and some bacula-fd in clients
with incompatible encoding
