One of our Novell clients may be implementing the GroupWise-enabled

You're having trouble with this because the premise is invalid: Nodes
are not associated with management classes. It is file system objects
which are associated with management classes, via default rules and
explicit choices made in the Include-Exclude list and certain options
such as DIRM
The distinction is host name versus [numeric] dotted IP address, e.g.,
TCP/IP name = storman, TCP/IP address = 11.23.62.232.
If the fields are blank, the client (for some reason) was unable to
determine the information to send to the server.

is bad, and shouldn't be used? Or does it mean that it wasn'

Nodes are connected to policy domains.
FILES are associated (bound) to management classes, not nodes.
A node may have files bound to an unlimited number of management classes.
You can find out which management class a file is bound to by a SELECT on the

Ahh, I see.
One is the information as presented from the client last time it
contacted TSM. (TCP/IP name / address)
The other is the information TSM will use when it attempts to contact
the client. (hl_address / ll_address)

I have a very large domain, 800+ clients, where the owner would like his

Fred, I am not really clear on what you are trying to accomplish.
There is no BACKUP_END column in the NODES table; that column exists only
in the FILESPACES table.
Something like this will show you info for nodes with file spaces that
have not been backed up in the last 30 days:

This really is an Oracle question since it doesn't have anything to do with
TSM. You might get better response on an Oracle-mailinglist or -forum.
