First thanks Wanda and Richard ..... I will try a select command against backups table with a where statement to decrease the search ....
Thanks again Robert -----Original Message----- From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Prather, Wanda Sent: ג 17 מאי 2005 18:41 To: ADSM-L@VM.MARIST.EDU Subject: Re: Question about connection between nodes to management classes Nodes are connected to policy domains. FILES are associated (bound) to management classes, not nodes. A node may have files bound to an unlimited number of management classes. You can find out which management class a file is bound to by a SELECT on the BACKUPS table, but that can take a VERY long time. I don't recommend running SELECT against the entire backups table; use the index by coding SELECT using WHERE for each node name, one at a time, to get better response. ________________________________ From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager on behalf of Robert Ouzen Sent: Tue 5/17/2005 9:43 AM To: ADSM-L@VM.MARIST.EDU Subject: Question about connection between nodes to management classes Hi To all I wonder if is a way (maybe with select command) to find which nodes are associate with management classes. I had for a Policy Domains several management classes linked to different Backup Copy Groups. I search a simple way to get a list for every nodes which management classes is used without looking in every dsm.opt !!!!
