Hi all,
I have installed and customized ITSM backup/archive client 5.2.3.1 and
Storage Agent 5.2.3.2 on HPUX 11.11. The ITSM server is at 5.2.3.1 on AIX

If I'm going to start the Storage Agent, the process will disappear after a

Hello,
This sounds like you just need a management class setup to immediatley
expire files deleted on the workstation.
You can do this with the VERsionsDeleted and RETainOnly parameters in a
backup copygroup. If you set them both to 0, the next time an
incremental is run against the workstation,

Hi all.
I was looking for a *SM client for HP-UP 10.20, but could not find on the normal ftp

Does somebody know where to get it?

Hi Mike,
Setups like this are possible, but one of the biggest issue's is
cross-mounting disks to different O/S's. We are solving that in the near

I thought about that. Both are set to 4.
But, why is the TDP trying to open 40+ sessions ?
There are no other active sessions on the TSM server !

How many stripes are you using for the restore?

Would you need to schedule restores to occur from the server end? - I am

Hi All!
I am working with a brand new NDMP setup with our new AIX 5.2 TSM 5.2.2.5

Thanks for your posts. Yes, it would be OK to restore existing files but I don't
think there will be a need for scheduled restores. Also, my client is going to be

Neither my SQL guy nor I have any idea what you are talking about.
Can you please expand on what you are refering to when it comes to

I have never set any kind or parm that addressed striping (at least not to

It is also documented in the User's Guide.

No... there were things added. (See README for details.)
In addition, if you backed up with newer version,

there could be problems with meta data alignment,

Sorry, the book is misleading.
Data Protection for Exchange works in both Active/Passive and

As a rule of thumb, if something supports Active/Active,
it also supports Active/Passive since Active/Passive

It works just fine.

If you do:

append to them if they already exist) and add the date and time as two
