I wonder if the drm product is still on the TSM cd , and if it still
can be enabled thru a license, which was the case with adsm.
The tivoli web-site give me the impression that DRM is now a seperate
product.
We are planning for an upgrade of our adsm 3.1.2 to tsm 4.1 on which we use
DRM ,
Hi Ron, yes DRM is on the 4.1 CD and it is enabled by a license.
I just upgraded from 3.1.2.40 to 4.1.1.0 so I know...

Well, to correct it, you might start the scheduler for each node as a
cluster service that never fails over to the other node. That way, the
service won't start up until that cluster node is up and it will only see
the drives that you have assigned to the node.

I am going through same process , best way is to intsall TSm on testing
machine , other than working one .
Install tsm 3.7 , and then restore databse of 3.7 , after that Intsall 4.1 .if
your library have sufficient drives define some of them to new system
and you are ready to go.. test time ,

bootable, as it is not a tape device. For our SP system, we do the
MKSYSB to disk, backup with ADSM, and use PSSP to reinstall the MKSYSB
image in case of emergency.

Try the following. That's a suggestion from Oracle.
You can perform join on RC_BACKUP_PIECE and RC_DATABASE_INCARNATION to get
backup pieces for all incarnation. Likewise, for archivelogs of all
incarnations use RC_ARCHIVED_LOG.

On the one hand you say you're a solaris shop.
Then I would think it easy to run there to begin with and see how it
goes. You can always 'recycle' the SUn box and switch to AIX/RS6K.

(V3.1.2.50) is running on VM/ESA V2 R3.0 SL9806. The problem is that
