Audio Repeater problem
Hi, Has anyone seen a problem with Audio Repeater where it'll break up the input source? I'm using it as a sort of second sound card until I get the PCI one installed on this machine, and when I send the mic to the virtual card with Audio Repeater, it breaks up randomly. I'm just trying it as a loop with my Sound Max card as the input and output to see if it'll do the same thing. The output from the virtual cable to the main card is fine, just the input from my mixer breaks up. It works fine on my laptop. My machine is a Lenovo 3000J with 1gb RAM and AMD Athlonx64 3800x2 processors. If anyone has suggestions, I'd appreciate them. satelite radio
Hi all, Sorry if this is too far off. Channel selection needs to be accessible. (not through a menu or touch screen) Under $200 US I really don't know which out of XM and Sirius is better for me, I'd mostly be listening to rock and metal music, so if one has a better selection of that type of music I'd go for that over the other. Re: dvd ripper and all music converter
Hi, For getting DVDs, I'd suggest DVD Decrypter. It can be found on the web, make sure you get the older version and don't check for updates. If you just want the audio from them, DVD Audio Extractor is wonderful and I've never had problems with it. As for music conversion, I personally use Gold Wave, because it can use the Lancer OGG encoders. If you're converting from MP3, CDex is a nice program. Much faster, but encoding to AAC and such formats is somewhat trying. Re: dvd ripper and all music converter
Hi Well, as long as you have the license for the WMA files, you can use the diskwriter plug-in in Winamp if you have that to write wav files, then convert them to mp3 or whatever with CDex. As for Real files, I have no idea. I've never even installed Real Player. Possibly something like Tunebyte when selected as the sound card in Real might do it a bit better, never used that either but I know it's out there. Re: question on MP3 player
hi all, just a comment here. I've used the creative zen. The touchpad is actually quite accessible, and so is the software or at least the version i had. my model, the zen micro 5 gb, would allow you to customize the menus, so provided you have a soft touch, you can mess with the radio and the voice recorder, or you can buy the remote which switches from player to radio with one button. the software is easy, there is actually a place, provided you have windows media 10, in my computer that you can simply paste your mp3/wma files, i'm not sure about plays for sure, and it will send them. even if you don't use the menus, the zen is accessible because a click device similar to the ipod can be enabled with sighted help, so you can hear when you tap any area of the touchpad in any menu. however, i had 3 units and they all had hard drive errors, my friend sent one in and got the other one stolen and another blind friend has hers working for over a year, so i don't know about the quality of the thing itself. hope this helps brandon ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. hd mp3 questions
hi all, here is what i'm looking for. first and most important, it has to be rockbox accessible. i'm tired of getting my parents to mess around with the menus with me. so i need rockbox compatibility. second, i'd really like to have line in capability, or at least externam mic, or something, so my guitar teacher can record things for me and i can practice with headphones and not have to wait around for him to burn a cd or record a tape. third, i'd like battery life over 12 hours, or if this is out there an mp3 that runs on regular double or tripple A batteries. if anyone can suggest anything that meets these that is decently priced, please drop me a line. thanks brandon ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. hi all, was taking a look at the I Audio x5 and x5l. i remember someone mentioning one of them, are either one supported by rockbox? the reason i ask is because according to the manual, the x5 units record from fm, iriver's don't. Also, the x5l has over 30 hours of battery life with a 6 hour charge time. Can anyone confirm or deny this? also, does anyone have a better manual in txt or pdf? the one i downloaded isn't spaced. the words run together a lot. i like to look at manuals before i look into purchasing things, that's why i ask. thanks for any help brandon ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. Speaking of that, is there any way to mount your whole audio collection, say 200 songs, as an audio cd and have winamp rip it into aac? i've tried using out_faac, but i can't find a good compromize between file size and bitrate. the cd ripping aac encoder works beautifully, however, and winamp refuses to play stuff encoded in CDEX, or should i just go get EZ CDDA and buy it? thanks brandon ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. hi the DIVX plugin is most likely the wrong one. i'm not really sure which plugin will work for wmp. it's garbage and i don't use it. if you insist on using it, however, google something like "mp4" +"media player 10" and see what comes up for plugins, or if it's even possible to play these files in wmp. if not, you'll have to convert it. brandon - Original Message - From: "Reed Poynter" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'PC audio discussion list. Re: iloe mp3 player
hi list, just a comment here. I have a samsung Yp-U1X 512 mp3 player. It always resumes from where you left off in the song, it's extremely small, has a really good volume and all that. I'm not sure if it plays DRM or not, but i know it does play WMA, MP3, ASF and OGG. It doesn't require any cables or anything, the USB connector flips out and in, requires no software (it simply pops up as a removable disk) and transfers, if your system is enabled, at USB 2.0 speeds. Best of all, it was $119.99 Canadian when i got it a few months ago, it's probably gone down somewhat. I'd suggest checking it out for books, say, converted using text sound or whatever tts converter you use. brandon - Original Message - From: "frank deweese" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. " Sent: Wednesday, May 17, 2006 8:03 PM Subject: Re: iloe mp3 player Hi, Jean, Kurt, and all you other aspiring Ilo users out there! First, Jean, I've not found it difficult to play even several books in the Ilo 1 gig. When you turn the Ilo on, the first thing that comes up for me are my files, and when I press play, the first file starts playing. I have several books and songs in there, and I can easily go from track to track. Unfortunately, if you've had the Ilo off for awhile, it's been my experience that it does take you back to the beginning of the tracks, whether they be books, songs, whatever, and that can be a pain if you're listening to a long book. I think you have to buy higher-end devices to be able to get that wonderful feature, like the Bookport has, of stopping your book where you left it. I'm sending along a couple of things that might be helpful to you all, and I'll be glad to help if I can also. Below is the information from Overdrive, a service similar to Net Library. Re: Re[2]: txt2mp3
hi all, I ran biblos yesterday to see how it did. It uses jaws version of eloquence, but there are more pauses. does anyone know why that is? it sounds like via voice. Also, I ran a pretty big file. It gave me an mp3 of about the first hour then it just kind of stopped, however it like totally ate up my processor all night. As a contrast, i ran conversions of 5 books, around 1 mb each, and kurzweil spit out numbered files of about 15 mins each in length, and it took about 3 hours total, with books taking anywhere from 10 to 25 minutes each, and it didn't even take anything away from my programs. I'd say to use that program for the conversions if you have it and use the high quality files, which put the mp3's at 32 kbps 22.5 khz. brandon Brandon Hicks Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: callto://reyuth msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. fooling winamp
hi all, I want to convert all my mp3 music to aac+. Winamp has a couple encoders to do it with, but they're not as good as the one built into the winamp library for ripping cd's. I was wondering if there's a way to fool the library into thinking i've got a huge audio cd when it's just my mp3 collection, or if anyone knows of any other encoders that'll work without providing a bunch of garbage options and converting into weird bitrates and that. thanks brandon Brandon Hicks Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: callto://reyuth msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. Re: Re[4]: txt2mp3
hi I finally got it working. I agree it's quite featured. It could be just how it's configured by default and I haven't figured out how to change it yet. A question, when you do the test of the voice, does it sound exactly like jaws? because it doesn't on mine. something in the trebble sounds different as if it's at a different hz rate. If this doesn't happen to you, it explains why my speech has a viavoice like sound. I'll try it again with a smaller book and see how it goes. i think my machine is fairly fast, it's certainly not slow. brandon Brandon Hicks Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: callto://reyuth msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. Re: fooling winamp
hi basically because aac+ is smaller file size than mp3. i think also that it has smaller file sizes than ogg, or better quality at lower bitrates. I can't really test that though because the settings on the faac encoder are screwy. I want to test to see which sounds better at smaller bitrates to my ears. I only have a 256 mb cf card. I don't want to go out and get another one because the rental pm goes back during the summer so it's a waste of my money, but i'm all about having the least amount of drive space taken up, so i'd probably keep the aac+ files for use in winamp. brandon Brandon Hicks Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: callto://reyuth msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. Re: txt2mp3
hi brent, my findings indicate that kurzweil is the fastest of the tts readers. I converted a bunch of books at extremely slow rates, and it read 18 hours of audio in like 30 minutes. none of the others did this, and kurzweil makes my fan operate as i'm on a laptop however it doesn't slow down any of my other programs. I also like being able to set file sizes, so that if i use a device that doesn't resume playback it's easier to find my place. i realize not everyone has kurzweil, or the money to get it, but if you do, i definitely recommend it as it will also access any PDF file you can throw at it. brandon Brandon Hicks Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: callto://reyuth msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. broadcasting question
hi list, I'm interested in going into radio broadcasting. I know there are people out there who have done it, so i emailed a local school that teaches a course for broadcasting. here is the reply I received when i asked about a blind person attending. Hi Brandon, sorry about the delay in getting back to you. Unfortunately this is not a program that is suitable to the visually impaired. Mainly because the cost of accomodating the expense of required equipment would exceed over $500,000.00. Not only the expense, but radio stations and their corporate ownership will never incur such an expense, nor is it feasible to create a studio suitable for this. I understand your disappointment, however, wanted to be very honest with you regarding the reality of this. I truly wish you well in all of your future endeavors and if there is anything you require further information on, please feel free to email or call me. dvd ripping and external soundcards
hi all, i'm wanting to get surround playback on my laptop. As far as I know, my sound max digital audio drivers don't support it, unless you use that stereo surround effects stuff. I'm wondering what USB sound cards are out there, or if there are any that plug into the PC slot that will play surround sound. I'm looking into plugins for winamp and plan to rerip my dvd's for surround. Also, was wondering if there is a free way to get the audio from dvd's and get them tagged, and see what i'm ripping instead of just title1 title2 and that, or at least a shareware way? you can email offlist brandon ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. Re: .wav files and dvd plus
hi, no. DVD discs are read differently than cd's. you couldn't, say, load a dvd with waves or CDA tracks and pop it into a discman. If you have a laptop with dvd drive, or portable dvd player, you can, and you can use MP3 files for longer time, however you must make sure the device you're using has a DVD, not just a CD drive. it'd be nice, unfortunately it doesn't work. the longest CD you can have is an mp3 cd, which will hold around 150 songs, unless you find one of those rare sony stereos or discmen that support the atrac3 format, where according to sony you can fit 490 songs on one cd and still have decent quality. hth Brandon Hicks Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: callto://reyuth msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. Re: Audio DVD
hi david, portable DVD players, some of them anyway, do also play mp3 files. If they don't, i'm not sure how to do it. Unless you can find a program to convert to CDA on your pc, then burn the CDA files as a data disc using such as record now or nero's dvd burning thing. but i think all dvd players support mp3 files, you can check the specks for yours and check. i'm fairly sure it's standard, though. Re: ripping CD's with windows media player
hi, here's my thoughts on the subject. windows media player isn't nearly the best choice for cd ripping. you can go out and download a free program such as CDEX which is much easier to use, is focused on ripping and allows you to convert into mp3 much easier than windows media, as well as having more ripping modes if those cd's are scratched. to get it, or even just check it out, go to http://www.whitestick.co.uk/download.html if you don't like it, you can remove it, but i personally use it for ripping as well as converting between different formats. as for playing music, I know a lot of blind people use winamp. it's totally scripted, and doesn't have a bunch of garbage that you don't need. it's all keyboard controled and easy. it rips cd's as well, and is also a good method despite being a bit slower. on my pc, it still ripped a cd in 10 minutes with little processor eating up, so i could do other stuff while ripping. winamp allows you to burn cd's as well, and in my opinion is easier to use than media player, besides having more internet broadcasting stations available that media player doesn't have. the only disadvantage to winamp, and this can be gotten around, is it doesn't play dvd movies. there are plugins that allow you to do this, though. winamp can be gotten from http://www.winamp.com that's about it from me. Re: ripping CD's with windows media player
hi kevin, you probably have some good points here. i haven't really bothered to try and mess with media player for live albums in my posession. as for doing better with WMA, yeah. some of microsoft's products do actually work together. there are several bonuses for winamp, though. for one, it's about half the size of media player, even with the full version, which if you're on dial up like myself is a plus. also all the shoutcast stations that are available and free to broadcast to and listen to. i'm a pretty big fan of internet radio and i like shoutcast and icecast stuff. the winamp library i think does actually rip into WMA lossless, in the latest version 5.22. mp3 ripping is not available without purchasse, which is kind of sucky, but it does offer aac+ and if there were media players out there you can bet i'd have everything in that beautiful beautiful format. I didn't know that CDEX had released a new version that isn't free. can you send me the url so I can check it out? the free version also rips into aac+, mp3, ogg and a few lossless encoding technologies, so if i ever used them i'd do that. however i can't tell much of a difference between the original cd and my 192 kbps mp3 files, or even my 120 kbps ogg files with whatever compression i installed, can't remember the name of it at the moment. i suppose it all comes down to what you use the media player for, the music you rip and what you listen to. brandon Brandon Hicks Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: callto://reyuth msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. Re: ripping CD's with windows media player
hi tyler, the reason that is is because of the bitrate. it's probably set at like 320 or some garbage like that. you get just as good results with 192 cbr, or vbr around 192 even. personally, i use ogg. i don't mind having a bit less quality, so i use the OU2V3 ogg encoder with CDEX, which allows me to use bitrates around 70 kbps with only a slight squeezing of the stereo image, and not many artifacts detectable at all, but at the same time allows me to fit about 210 songs on my 512 mb mp3 player, and some of those songs are metallica's live stuff, which is pretty darned long. brandon Brandon Hicks Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: callto://reyuth msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. hi tyler i highly doubt real networks will switch to something like winamp, i just can't see it. the paid version of winamp burns at 48x, but this is only useful if you have a burner that supports burning that fast. not many burners that come with pc's do, and most of the lower end externals or mountables do either. my laptop only burns at 16x i think, possibly 24 and the one i installed on the 98 machine does 16, and we paid pretty good money for it. tv question
hi all, I'm in a rural area. We haven't got satelite yet, we're still receiving UHF or whatever type of signals the old analog tv is. I've got a question. We've got the main antenna box downstairs. We've got a cable running up to my room, where it's plugged into my fairly new VCR DVD combo. It's using the old cables, the ones you find in stereos for the FM antenna, can't remember the name, not RCA though. From there, that same type of connection leads up to my tv where the video and sound are played. I've got a question. My tv doesn't have a headphone plug anywhere, and i want to run voyager through my stereo. Is there a way to do this? the vcr has a couple of jacks set in the front and a group of three three and two RCA jacks vertically on the back. Do I have to wait till I get satelite and patch the RCA cables to my stereo, or is there some way or feature i should look for to put tv through my stereo instead of my crappy tv. hi if you have kurzweil or openbook, use those. kurzweil makes mp3 files in like 20 minutes, fair sized books, and it doesn't eat up much processor. other than that, you're pretty much stuck with the hour long for books. it's frustrating, but it could be worse. you could be, like I did, running a pentium 2 processor and 128 mb of ram. but like was said, it depends how fast your computer's processor is and how much ram you have, they both have an effect. Re: mp3 player accessibility?
hi tyler, You say you want recording and all that, so i've gotta inform you that the gigabeat doesn't do that. It's an mp3 player. It plays MP3, WMA and WMA DRM. It's hard to set up, and I think that if you want to use DRM you have to connect it to media player. It encrypts everything sent to it in its own format, so it's not like a copy and paste thing. But like I say, there's no recording, there's nothing else there. It's a fairly good player but that's all it does. mp3 player suggestions
hi all, i'm sick of my gigabeat crashing and deleting all my settings, and i'm sick of my samsung dying after 8 hours and not being able to be charged. what i'm looking for is a flash mp3 player. i want at least 256 mb. If it's got expandability, great. it should support either mp3 pro or ogg, have an fm radio in it, and a line in. also, i need a battery that can be changed out, tripple A seems to be popular now. I don't know if there are any flash players that support rockbox, but if there are that would be nice as well, hence me sending this message to the rockbox list as well. if anyone can recommend a decent player that meets these things, drop me a line. thanks Brandon Hicks Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: callto://reyuth msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. winamp fullscreen?
hi all, i've got a partially sighted friend who wants to try out the shoutcast radio and all the other library stuff in winamp. the problem is she needs it to be full screen. is there a way to do this in winamp? the reason for this is that she wants to find some new artists. she's been looking for a site where you can type in a band name and it'll bring up a list of all the similar bands to have something new, but i haven't been able to find anything like that. so if you can help with either of these, send me a message. thanks Brandon Hicks Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: callto://reyuth msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. Re: CBR or VBR
hi vbr makes a smaller file. you set limits as to how much data it will encode, say between 96 and 192 kbps. the encoder will analyze the music and do what it thinks is good quality encoding between those specified limits. the advantage of that is you get a smaller file. the advantage of cbr is that the data is all the same bitrate, which makes sure it's all the same quality. vbr in my experience, the few times i've used it sounds worse than cbr, but this could be just me. USB chargers
hi all, am going to be taking a trip for a week where I won't have access to my laptop to recharge my mp3 player. I'm wondering if anyone can suggest something that will allow me to plug it in and charge off batteries. The one I'm thinking of using uses a standard USB plug, instead of mini, so that would have to be a requirement. I do have my other mp3 player that I could take which has a mini USB, but it's a toshiba which requires drivers so I'm not sure if it would charge off a battery box or not. If anyone can advise me to somewhere that either ships to canada and has phone ordering or uses PayPal and ships to Canada, I'd appreciate it or else I'm going to have to start burning cd's... *wince* thanks Brandon Hicks Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: callto://reyuth msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. big problem
hi all, I went through and ripped about 25 cd's this morning. For some reason, despite all the settings being correct, no audio was extracted. I'm using CDEx 1.7 beta 1. The files are there, appear to contain data and are tagged, but there's no audio. I've played them in media player, gold wave and winamp. Other files work just fine. There were about 45 CD's that i went through, and would not like to go through them all again. Is there any way I can get the audio out of these, or am I going to have to suck it up and go through them all again? thanks brandon Brandon Hicks Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: callto://reyuth msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. winamp playlist question
hi all, I've created an m3u playlist of my most commonly listened to songs, the ones i like the best, whatever. I recently moved a bunch of them, though, and was wondering if there was any other way aside from clearing the non-existent tracks and readding them and moving them to their places of changing the location. Like is there a way to tell winamp to look for those files on the hard drive or in specified folders? thanks Brandon Hicks Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: callto://reyuth msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. reorganizing files
hi all, I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to sort mp3 files. I've got a whole bunch of files just in a folder, but I want to sort them by artist then album so I know which files I'm missing. Does anyone know of a program that'll do that based on tag information? and is there a way to somehow get information for specific songs, instead of albums? Say I've got some songs that didn't get tagged. Is there anyway to autofind and fill in the tag information or am I going to have to do that manually then sort those tracks? thanks brandon Brandon Hicks Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: callto://reyuth msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. Re: Soundblaster Live! 24-bit External USB
hi all, just figured i'd put my two cents in. there are programs, such as AVCS voice changer, i think that's what it's called. It does all these effects and more. It's pretty accessible. some use of the jaws cursor is needed, but it's usable, and there are presets. I love it. email me privately if you wish to know how to access it. Re: Headphones and sound cards
hi kathy, Can't help with the external sound card bit, but I've got a pair of headphones. They're made by jenson, or jensen, or some such. They cost about 50 canadian dollars when I got them last year. They fold up pretty small, not the smallest I've seen but they do fold. The neat thing about them is that they're noise canceling. I use them on the bus, and they work awesome. They also give your music a boost when the noise canceling is active. They've got fairly decent base, especially considering the price. I've had other pairs, but I can't remember manufacturers. I've also got a pair of earbuds surprisingly that have pretty good bass as well, I got them with my samsung mp3/ogg player. Another manufacturer to check is Kos. They have some earbuds that have foam cushions that seal your ears in, effectively canceling all outside noise, and they have truely wicked bass. Those ones were 39 dollars canadian. hth Brandon Hicks Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: callto://reyuth msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. Re: MP3/WMA CD Creator
hi This is for burning cd's that contain mp3 files, instead of the .cda files that audio cd's have. This is for those who have mp3 cd players in their car, in their Hi Fi system or a CD walkman that plays mp3. The advantage of these cd's is that your tag information gets copied over, making it easier to find songs, and you can fit over a hundred songs onto one cd instead of 18. But you do have to have a certain type of cd player to play them. Re: reorganizing files
hi kevin, thanks for the info. I've got media player 10 working pretty well now. I still have to do it manually, but it's just a matter of clicking on album links and it sorts files and renames them. Re: Headphones and sound cards
hi a possible problem here might be that the speakers are plugged into the wrong jack. Could be a line in/out jack or some such. I'm not sure, but this is one thing that popped into my head. Re: reorganizing files
hi rick You'd think something would do this. Media player kind of does it but there are some tracks it refuses to organize and tag, and some are totally inaccurate. I suppose there's still some manual work to do, even when the stupid tracks are already tagged properly and it goes in and messes them up. This will learn me for not tagging cd's and not keeping them in album folders.
