hi all, i don't have a line in on my pc, however i want to record my electric guitar with the distortion or whatever that's called, brain went dead. i can plug it into the mic direct without going through the amp. my question is, does anyone know how to recreate the effect of an amp so i can have a more rock sound without having to buy atenuators or a sound card with a line in? is there some effect in gold wave, or some virtual amp program or something? thanks brandon
