hi if you have kurzweil or openbook, use those. kurzweil makes mp3 files in like 20 minutes, fair sized books, and it doesn't eat up much processor. other than that, you're pretty much stuck with the hour long for books. it's frustrating, but it could be worse. you could be, like I did, running a pentium 2 processor and 128 mb of ram.
but like was said, it depends how fast your computer's processor is and how much ram you have, they both have an effect. You might try text sound from bytecool.com but other than that i think you're hooped.
