Sorry, seems we had not properly understood that part of the "ValidNotices"
document, due to not having had enough experience with GNU stuff yet. This
lack of experience is just what we've been correcting, as long as you bear
with us.

In order to avoid any doubt, we have chosen to replace that uudecode.pl with a
new one created by us from scratch, which implements the same basic
functionality. Even though I am quite sure that the "public domain" assumption
was correct for the old file, it would still be difficult for me to prove this
beyond doubt.
