I don't know how to get such data.  The problematical configuration
is at the dhcp server and most cable modem companies aren't
interested in hearing complaints from users of unsupported operating
systems.  But doesn't all this confirm that this fork
that RedHat have created is a bad thing?  Why can't you and
the dhcpcd maintainers get together on this?  Perhaps some of
the "violations" of the standard in dhcpcd are necessary to cope with
M$ idiocies in typical servers. Waving the standard doesn't help
the user.
