I wondered the same thing  - my QB does not have a threaded brake bridge 
and I was pretty surprised when I discovered that. I had to zip tie my rear 
fender onto the brake bridge because the crimp-on bracket thingy was 
costing me about 1cm in clearance...

Why wouldn't this be an absolute no-brainer on every Riv made?
