Good advice.  Although in my case the salt stains get heavy pretty
quick.  (I sweat a lot.)  And they don't seem to brush out.  Make up
for it with a number of wool tops.

For cotton a heavy Woolrich or Filson Alaska shirt work as a cover
layer in some conditions.  Or at least I like the feel/look of them.

But I'm a wimp.  Definitely not out riding in this winter storm.
