The Tektro sidepulls aren't too bad once you replace them with Kool Stops. I might upgrade to Paul centerpulls, but Pauls are also 4 times the price. The Tektro CR720s are awesome with Kool Stops ($15 upgrade). Almost as good as my Paul Touring Cantis, again a fraction of the price. Also easier for me to service if I'm out on the trails. Also has road-type cartridges which are easy to replace. Pauls also needs an extra wrench, which some people might dislike (I don't mind).
