I have a set of Schwalbe Thunder Burts on the way for my Hunqapillar. The plan is to use them on some bikepacking overnights to get ready for the Oregon Outback.
I just realized that I let me Synergy rims get a bit worn via too much braking, not enough pad changing. I now have my overworn pads on my bench to remind me to *check my brake pads regularly*. Since I also have some spoke cracking on the OC rim, I figure it's time to get some new rims for the summer. The Pacenti SL23s seem like a good tubeless rim to try - or perhaps the Velocity A23s.
