This has not been my experience at all. I've never used the Berthouds, but switched to the Honjos from SKS precisely because the SKS were constantly getting wacked out of alignment. I haven't had that experience at all with Honjos, just install em and forget em. And once I replaced the compression clip on the front fender with a simple L bracket they have been amazingly quiet, even on very rough road. My Ebisu came with a mounting thread under the fork crown, which elimiminates clips all together. I don't understand why Riv doesn't make that standard on the frames that are clearly intended to be fendered?
