On the project site there's 'Who's using Pylons Project software', didn't realize large public-facing sites like digg and cars.com are using Pyramid.

Well, actually...

Most of those logos were added in 2011. Pyramid 1.0 had just been released, and many of those companies might not have migrated from earlier iterations of Pyramid, including Pylons and BFG. The logos were added for all Pylons Project projects, including Pylons the web framework, so it would be more accurate to say, "All of these companies used Pylons Project subprojects at some time, and the most likely web framework that they were using was Pylons."

Which brings up another point about Pyramid and other Pylons Projects projects: we suck at marketing the awesome products because we spend all our time writing code instead. Of course, that's a sweeping generalization, yet not inaccurate.

Several marketing efforts have been under perpetual development, but not deployed, including the following.

A new Pyramid wiki page to list companies and organizations that use Pyramid. https://github.com/Pylons/pyramid/wiki/Companies-and-organizations-that-use-Pyramid

I think it would be great to also have a list of companies that offer consulting services with knowledge of Pyramid. I was recently convincing a client to develop a Pyramid-based solution, and they wanted assurance that there are other consultants available who know the framework if I get hit by a bus. I was able to convince them that yes there are (and that maybe they should care as much about the availability of good Python developers agnostic of framework), but it would have been easier to just point them at a list.

What are the blockers for getting some of these efforts launched?
