I have bought or recommended probably 20 or so Acers over the last three years. I have had one, a 3 yr old, where the hard drive died and was repaired locally and 2 others which failed under warranty and were repaired promptly and efficiently. You pay your money and takes your chance <g>. I always recommend Acer as I like the way they are initially configured with a second partition instead of the usual everything on C approach.
