In the uk they have premium rate numbers for tech. that puts me off to start
with and I think that should be brought to attention before purchase. My
Acer laptop failed new and I had a fight to get a replacement. Ended up
phoning consumer protection before they would replace the thing. So guess
what, I don't like Acer. Pity as the stuff is good when it works.
I do have some Acer monitors and one is the only LCD that ever went wrong.
My Hyundai's work fine and were purchased at the same time.

I LOVE Acer LCD monitors (3 year warranty from the manufacturer), and have a
client (medical clinic) who uses nothing but Acer brand PCs.  The one time I
had to call tech support re: a monitor that did fail resulted in a very
positive experience.  I was taken care of promptly.
