When I tried Ubuntu the first time I liked it right away. My first try
with Linux was RH 7 because it was the one support by Dell. I always
want to be curious where big a US company go because the US government
have the greatest influence amongst nations and they also like to
influence what is being sold to other countries. If a US company makes
money then Uncle SAM makes money too with their taxes. di ba? Does the
US have influence over our beloved bayan??? What is the progress of that
law in congress about Open Source?? So when Dell announce it's support
for Ubuntu I was very curious indeed and ask a lot of why why???? To
answer my question I installed Edgy and I liked the apt-get to install
things I forgot to install. Secondly everytime I Googled for a problem
I would always get a straight to the point answer without asking PLUG.
(To be honest it is only PLUG that let me stayed with Linux all this
years just because I know I have the quickest best answer. Thank you
from the bottom of my heart PLUG). Back to Ubuntu. Lastly I was
amazed/surprised Ubuntu had a driver for the modem the lowly HP I was
trying it on. I have no use for that winmodem but surprise it had a
driver. Here is one thing that made me go back to Centos. Being from a
RH background I was so stuck with vi. Having been a newbie to Linux
forever I did not know how to us vi in Ubuntu. Well now I discovered
nano will it worked in Ubuntu as in Centos/Fedora? If yes I can erase
my Centos again. I also wondered what HP officially supports. Has
somebody in the list ordered a HP server with a Linux distro. If HP
would officially support Ubuntu then I will be sure Linux got No. 1 and
2 spot in distributing Linux to the world. Acer don't support Linux
sorry nalang ang laptop ko.

One last note OpenSolaris is a late comer in the Open Source pero take
note US origin siya? I hope Linux wins this OS battle kasi ayaw ko nang
Opps
baga nga maganda ma download nga yan OpenSolaris meron daw Ubuntu
version yan Nexenta. Opps uli hindi muna pala kasi wala pang dtrace.
