Well, those who distribute these linux CD out there in
the mall for a price of P100/CD intend to pirate the
CD just as what they do in selling pirated windows
installer. Hindi nga lang nila aalam na legal mag
distribute ng linux even with a price as stated in GPL
for the CD and burning expenses. he he.

For me, Ubuntu is not an option due to missing CD
install base, those that include in the CD are for
basic use. I do not have DSL connection at home so I
make sure that what I installed in my home PC have at
least 3 to 4 CD so that I do have many software option
to install for my self study.

Piracy only has something to do with unauthorized
distribution of
copies. The license of the individual software on the
CD explicitly
encourages you to redistribute it. Yes, even charging
a fee. The GPL
(2 & 3) even allows this explicitly.
