On the subject, I WANT the silver theme BACK. I'm severely annoyed that we had to take a step backward into only having a single theme without selection. With the silver theme I could actually read the text on my screen, and was one of the first things I changed when getting a new viewer. Themes need to be selectable, and the current theme is even darker than the old dark and dull theme!
Now, on a more reasonable tone, I am actually in favor of the sidebar's "squishing" of the screen. Although I would like to be able to _optionally_ dock floaters in and out, ala VWR-17013. The "squishing" is a lot better than sliding over the screen cutting off the right 3 inches of my render area, hiding HUDs, etc. And power users know how to use the Debug Settings to deactivate features they don't want to see: Like the silly walk and camera mouse controls. Why do I need a 4th way to move my character? (1: AWSD, 2: Arrow Keys, 3: Click-and-drag on the avvie, 4: floater controls) I've been scripting since my 2nd day in SL, over 3 years ago. Not as long as many on this list, and only a month younger than you, Henri, although I don't yet have the skill you have in reworking the client. I'm just saying that not all of us of this SL age are against all the changes. Some of them need serious refinement, and for those who don't like the way LL is guiding the mainline viewer, that why we have good coders like you capable of create TPVs for those who want something different.
