Windows is not the only platform so you can't just rip that stuff off

Many people still want to create their binaries with calls to D2XX 
library so it would not make sense to remove it.
I can understand the need to get a windows binary but you don't do that 
by messing up the code for those who haven't crossed over or are not 
willing to do so.
