Pretty standard capitalism feature. Everyone wants to know what else they
might be able to sell you.

If you purchased a support contract with the switch, they are legally
required to provide you access to software updates. You may wish to remind
them of that fact.

If you didn't , you're technically not entitled to software updates
anyways. But just make something up for those fields, or create a new
account from scratch.
