These layoffs included all the MonoTouch and MonoDroid engineers and other key Mono developers. They might offer price reductions for already existing customers but who knows. From my perspective the time I have invested in Monotouch and Monodroid is *way* more valuable than paying for the tools, so I'm happy to re-purchase. In the end it is in all our interest to make sure their startup will succeed. I consider it an investment in the future of mono.
