I have a OpenBSD server running on a netcup VPS; it works quite well.

Out of curiosity: have you tried IPv6? DHCPv4?

I used DHCPv4 for some time. However, last year or so, I had some problems with at least one of my FreeBSD systems, where I didn't get an address from the DHCP server. At that point, I assigned the IP statically to all of my servers, including the OpenBSD ones.

I configured IPv6, and it seems to work. However, I can't say much about it since I'm not actively using IPv6 connections to my server because I don't have an IPv6 address at home.

However, I noticed that netcup seems to have some issues with their network. From time to time, my external monitoring says that one VPS is unavailable. However, these issues do not occur that often and resolve themselves quite quickly.

Souji
