So all I mean by the prior message is that the contradictions run deep; that yes at the moment the USA is top of the pile despite its own huge problems; that the Chinese have ambitions as seen by their now quite old proclamations of the 'Belt and road'. These contradictions are taking time to arrive at the point of an open war. But the manouevering; the grabbing up of resources where either the USA or China can get them; the attempts - even if stymied - to build up a modern day equivalent of Bandung; attempts to build up alternative international banking systems - are unmistakeable.
Of what? Of moving towards the only way that big bully imperialists can resolve them - war. What the time-scale is - is another matter. Just my view. It may not be on the agenda for tomorrow. But things change quickly. But there is certainly no honour amongst thieves. Hence the current anxiety in Beijing, about the apparent cosiness between Russia and the USA. (According to the FT today). How long this cosying-up will last - is open to question. As for honour, how can we even glimpse this in Trump - and what does that mean for any 'bargain;' between Trump & Putin?
