But personally, I do not think there is any need to discuss any putative 'defence' of child abuse. There was none. I think what they show is a word choice open to being misconstructed. You Sartesian have interpreted this word as a lie or a an attempted white-wash. I think that is quite false. I do not think there is - or can be from any of the prior correspondences - any realistic charge to be made of 'defense' of child molestation. Because the image that I have of 'trope' is more like this - I interpret the word 'trope' as used here " something such as an idea, phrase, or image that is often used in a particular artist's work, in a particular type of art, in the media, etc.: Human-like robots are a classic trope of science fiction.
