No doubt Reimann started off as most of us here who see it as a principle that Marxists do not cross class lines to support the boss class, but now he follows the statement of Engels that “the revolution is a great devourer” of one’s energies – especially here in the belly of the beast. He endorsed Biden in 2020 (perhaps his first crossing of the line) and since then he verifies Trotsky’s slogan of going “from a scratch to the danger of gangrene” by being a cheerleader for Biden (“Genocide Joe”) who, when his cognitive failures couldn’t continue to be hidden, was replaced in his support by another unapologetic defender and supplier of Israeli genocide. The thing about succumbing to lesser evilism is that there’s no escape – it does indeed become gangrenous. The Repugs have been to the right of the Dems for decades, so the Dems can feel free to move as far to the right as their corporate masters demand (e.g. Clinton and company’s neoliberalism which forced lifelong Dems such as Ralph Nader to bolt from the party and run for Prez as an independent in 1996, 2000, and 2004). As long as they stop a few inches short of “the greater evil” they can always appeal to frightened liberals as “the lesser, protecting us from impending fascism.” They can also win over burnt out radicals! On the incorrect history that he cites and as artesian refutes, the Bolsheviks did NOT support the Kerensky government against the attempted coup by General Kornilov.
