John Edmundnson justifies the "Marxists" doing nothing to oppose/warn against or organize against Trump by writing: "The enemy is not Trump and his self serving cabal. It's the whole damned system." The reality is that he is really speaking for many on this list. He/they should read a little history, going back to the 1917 Russian Revolution. Remember that little event? Remember the attempted coup by Kornilov? It was, in reality, against the Kerensky regime, but the bolsheviks and the working class literally derailed it because they understood what would happen if Kornilov came to power. Then John and others who have that attitude should read a little about the Spanish Civil War. Every socialist worthy of even half that name supported the Republicans. What were they but a bourgeois government, the exact same "whole damned system" that these infantile leftists rail against! No, Trump has not instituted fascism, although that is actually possible. But that's not the point. The point is that whatever degree of repression Trump/Musk introduce, it will be far, far harder for workers and the oppressed to organize. But I suppose that doesn't really matter to those who think they are marxists but in reality perfectly match the description Lenin gave - " infantile lefts" - since they have no intention of trying to organize anything, including their very own thoughts.
