I'd have to be in the DP and party to the debates within the DSA to make that 
decision.  I certainly don't oppose a break with a union-backed left-centre 
party in principle. It's strictly a tactical decision based on several 
considerations such as I tried to show here:

I'll be happily surprised if you are active or at least belong to any of the 
DSA factions you refer to above because that would indicate to me there is 
actually a political formation somewhere on the planet which  meets with your 
approval, and that in itself would reduce the political distance between us.
