Turn off IPv6 ;)

I see your ";)" but ... still ... this is terrible advice.

While IPv6 is not perfect, it is less bad than keeping IPv4 alive.
IPv4 addresses were exhausted over ten years ago in some registries.
It's time to move on. Eventually even email will have to start
running over IPv6.

It's not terrible advice.

There is nothing wrong with steam engines. They work well. It's starting to get a bit difficult to find spare parts though. And most technicians seems to be electricity fanboys.

Google is more likely to filter to spam folder from IPv6 addresses. Enough of us have seen it to know we're putting the puzzle pieces together correctly. People have been crying that IPv4 is depleted for well over a decade and ARIN just ran through a bunch of the wait list yesterday. Market conditions are simply not equal to the fantasies of IPv6 fanboys.

If you want to keep running email over IPv4 and you perceive better market conditions by sending email over IPv4 to some correspondents, that's fair enough.

Email runs on networks and networks are deploying IPv6. You can keep using IPv4 for as long as it satisfies your needs. If you want to turn IPv6 off on your network because you have problems with it ... your network, your rules.

Recommending others to turn off IPv6 is terrible advice.
