We used to have a HP 2100 series, was Mac compatible, but not much
for an interface for VO or Spoken Interface before, and even back in
the days of Outspoken and OS 9 I had lots of problems with it, but of
course that's an ancient series. Finally got rid of it because it
was pretty well shot as a printer, and got a Kodakthis summer.
Haven't gotten me anything though to conver final scanned product yet
such as readiris or fine reader yet, but the printer and scanneris
quite accessible. Of course also for single page stuff which is what
I do mostly, can also just hit the scan button on the machine and
brings up the dialog with no problem and can tell it what to do quite
easily.
