Dear Uwe, the GUI for "fleqn" still says "[ ] Indent Formulas".
However, formulas are always indented (except for documents with "fleqn" and "mathindent=0"). > The "fleqn" option determines whether equations are *aligned* or *centered*. > In both cases, the equations are indented: either with a fixed > indentation or (the default) a variable one. > This should be reflected in both, GUI label and internal variable names. > Therefore, I propose ... > [*] Align Formulas: Indentation [Default/Custom] > [ ] [em ] This avoids also the paradox that you currently must tick "Indent Formulas" (and set the custom mathindent to zero) to *not* indent formulas!¹ ¹This reminds me on Windows: Click the "Start" button to open the "Shutdown" menu. The internal variable should use a name in line with other settings. There is no setting starting "is_", most boolean settings start with an action (\use_, \maintain_, \suppress_). I propose \use_fleqn or \align_formulas. Günter
