Sure, a normal user cannot set up things for other users on the PC. That
is for a good reason. So if you want to install LyX for all users you need
to have admin priviledges - this is already the case with your installer.
Even if you got administrator privileges, you cannot download files to
program files. So first you need to save them somewhere else and them move
the files to the LyX directory.
Creating separate installers for each language (as we did for Aspell) is
not an option because of
the huge maintenance burden.
That is not my plan. The installer will download additional dictionaries
by simply downloading them from the Internet and copy it to the location,
where the English version is (that will always be included in the
installer).
So you want to show a list of all available languages and allow the user to
select which ones to download?
