And, of course, this would break support for many classes out there (including "official" journal and publisher's classes). Of course biblatex can only be implemented in addition to, not as a replacement for, existing bibliography interfaces. A solution which kicks out other approaches in favour of biblatex is a no-go (and by no means necessary). Jürgen
