I didn't meant that.

Thanks, then. Sorry I got so frustrated with you. That was misdirected frustration, I'm afraid.

I only wanted to say that native HTML export was announced a year ago and also discussed at the last LyX developer meeting. Until now it is not yet working but people request it. I therefore want to have something that works as soon as possible, no matter what we might have in the future.

I'm not sure who announced it, but it wasn't me. Indeed, if the idea was discussed at the last meeting, I never heard about it. My own work on this began on 4 June, as the logs show, and then continued pretty intensively for a short period before all hell broke loose. But I'm going to try to get back to it. Working on LyX is a good kind of distraction.

Graphics actually looks pretty easy, and then only math will really be left to do. At that point, we'll have usable output, though there will be plenty of tweaking left to do to get the best possible output. And there are some really cool ideas that JMarc has a while ago, about how to use e.g. Font information from layout files to generate CSS that would be well worth pursuing, if you or someone else should have the interest. My intention is to have something decent and usable for 1.7/2.0, and then we'll go from there.
