I did something like this but I am not at a position to do that. I had hoped that Michael can show some management skills but he chose to be silent. As far as I am concerned, there is no good or bad decision because any decision is better than none. So, we can do either A or B: A. We continue to use the official installer. Joost has agreed to comment the code, update documentation and fix bugs. B. We replace the official installer with Uwe's. Joost will probably leave but Uwe will actively work on it. I do not care if Joost is willing to work on Uwe's code base or vise vesa. After we decide which installer is the official one, Christian will join the development and I will add scons integration and potentially other things. We should not waste time on another installer. I mean, if we choose A and Uwe continues to work on his installer, we should kindly ask users who report bugs to that installer to only report bugs regarding the official installer.
