I believe that Guy Keren did disservice by apologizing to Yotam Rubin.
Yotam Rubin deserves no such apology!

There is a separate mailing list for newbie questions, and the regular
Linux-IL subscribers' time is too precious for clueless newbie questions.

New users who didn't read the FAQ when they subscribe to the Linux-IL
mailing list deserve whatever flames that get thrown at them.
(BTW:  who is the current FAQ maintainer, is the FAQ sent to new
subscribers, does it contain clear warnings about posting newbie
questions and the proper venues for newbie questions?)

It seems that enough time has passed since the last time this kind of
discussion was held, and now the war between misguided supporters of
clueless newbies and those who respect the oldtimers' time - must be
re-fought.  :-(
