I think that we should stick to The Differential SCSI Cable. As pointed
out below, it appears to have been remarkably effective weapon.

I have a feeling that Marc's Differential SCSI Cable had beneficial
influence also on religious wars. If clueless newbies get flogged on
their most tender body organs, imagine the fate of zealots who engage in
stupid religious wars!

The present policy works remarkably well, as Oleg himself pointed out.
Let's not change it. Perhaps except for universal adoption of Choo's
policy - he performs the search which the clueless&rude newbie did not do,
and he (Choo) explains where and how he searched for the information and
raises the level of cluefulness of the entire list in the process.

If an usually smart oldtimer gets flamed due to transient bouts of
stupidity, let it be so. Accept it as a man (even if you are female) and
try to enjoy Marc's verbal creativity even when it is directed against
you.

There is no IGLU cabal. They had no good policy for dealing with clueless
newbie questions and this proved to be their nemesis.
