If we are doing conspiracy theories then I am surprised not to have seen the one of fixing the result of the penultimate game of the season so that we were effectively relegated then and paving the way for an administration with no real penalty in points deduction. If we had been in with a chance at the last game then we would have had a real points deduction to start next season - in whichever division it was to be, but most probably still the third.
