Spot on, Sean. There is no way that something like that would be kept secret. I've been in trials where I've managed to get professional cover up artists (otherwise known as cops) to spill the beans on that type of thing. More to the point, I've yet to see such a conspiracy stay secret. Is Master Bates a good guy? Hell no. Is he our saviour? Of course not. Has taking the Club through Administration right about now been in his plans from pretty early on? You betcha. Grand conspiracy? Errrrrrrm. What was that about yer coat? Throwing the play-off final would be against so many rules and laws, and surely some of the players would be that pissed off about it. You may differ, but the idea of Bates/Blackwell walking into a room of at least 16 professional footballers plus several backroom staffl, most of whom about to play the biggest game of their lives, and saying "Er, for financial reasons we have to lose this game guys. Hope that's all right with you. So please don't try too hard, even though you will be held up to ridicule by the rest of your peers. Oh, and sign this non-disclosure form." I just don't buy it. Cheers!
