Hang on a minute.........any other old fogies remember us getting all kinds of crap for fielding a weakened team in a game (meaningless, as I recall) against I think (ironically) Derby in 1970 or 71 due to outrageous fixture congestion? I'm sure we were hit with a draconian fine. So how come Liverpool can get away with it in a game which is vital to the hopes of 5 different teams?
