To an extent I agree with you about the playoff final. I posted a comment
immediately after the final to the effect I was hacked off and that we never
seem to seize the day. That's a LUFC problem mind, not just the current
side.

And yes, it might just have been the best opportunity we get to go up, what
with the teams coming back down again. But I think the team itself was as
culpable for that display as any tactics KB might have tried to employ.
After all, isn't the point of having players with experience that they use
that experience when the situation dictates?

In any case, I don't personally think the relegated sides will do much next
season, all relegated sides pretty much have that shock to the system when
they go down. They are low on confidence after a crap season, the pace and
physicality of the game is a lot harder, in the prem WBA were a small side,
but to clubs in the championship they are a scalp, clubs like Leeds will
want to prove a point against the ex-Prem sides, its less glamorous for
their players so they want out and so on and so on.

There is a risk one or more of the sides gets off to a flyer and then it's a
problem, but as I said, statistically it doesn't happen.

So last season was frustrating because a lot of us can see how it could
easily have been that much better, however I don't know about you but I
would have settled for what happened last season at the start of the season
never mind before KB took over.

I'm not pro Blackwell as such, I am pro giving him a chance next season and
I am anti-whingeing about him. To say he is a scapegoat for some people's
frustrations and seeming denial of how bad a state the club was (and to some
extent still is) in, is an understatement!
