Seriously though, Mark's arguments are absolutely right, the bloke achieved
all the objectives he'd been set, both from Bates (AFAWK) and from us. How
can anyone but a curmudgeon say he's not a good manager for that?
What you can do is take an unreasonned - but perfectly acceptable - dislike
to him as our manager. I have, even though I was impressed by the SF 2nd
leg. In our less than distinguished list of managers I prefer Blackwell to
GG, Very Terribles, Adamson and even Clarke.
Whatever. To answer RWs 1st question Yes, Blackwell's a good manager, the
2nd question - Blackwell out!
