Absolutely not. What on earth makes you think that a 'good' manager, with a 'good' team, 'good' fans and a 'good' chairman has any divine right to win promotion?
If Blackwell fails to get us up next season it wont mean he is necessarily a shit manager, in fact what he has done so far for most of us on the list proves that he is a good manager, it will prove that he isn't the man to get us up. Not good enough if you like. If that point comes, and statistically it is likely given the standard of the teams in the championship next season, then it will be a case of "thanks for all you have done so far Kev, but its time for someone else to be given the chance". In terms of the health of football clubs and finance, next season there will be several teams in better positions than us in the league; West Brom, Birmingham and Crystal Palace are definites, Sunderland most likely. Managers at those clubs would expect to finish above Leeds, and rightly so. To summarise, us not getting promotion next season WILL NOT prove that Blackwell is a shit manager. It will simply prove he was not good enough to take us the final step and get us up, and that will not be good enough for Leeds Utd. The point is Rich, most of us are saying that he deserves the chance because he was always working to a 3 year plan, and so far he has met all his targets along the way. Is that so difficult a concept for you? If Blackwell was a 'crap' manager then I am 100% certain that we would have been relegated to the 2nd division.
