I also think that actually that’s not a bad tactic on a few different levels
- the main problem we had was that we couldn’t get enough distance on the
clearances and they used their no-brainer tactic of the long throw into the
box.  I have no idea if KB knew this would happen or not, but I also would
say that despite bringing it on ourselves, we actually dealt with the aerial
bombardment superbly.  

I think too that the tactic is useful in preventing panic if you go a goal
behind - you know that you are yet to go to phase 2 of the plan and that
there is plenty of time to get back into the game.

We were undone by firstly an almost perfect corner coupled with a forward
not taking his player out (by blocking the run), then by them somehow not
conceding from Derry's shot, then by not being given a stonewalled pen on
Gregan (or was it Butler) and then Hulse, and finally by their total fluke
of a second goal.

I would suggest that once their second went in, and then Derry's header
squirmed off the line, that the players kind of knew it wasn’t to be.
